I joined EBM 9 years ago and have always felt supported and encouraged to reach my personal development goals, those of my team and EBM as a whole.

A standout moment at EBM was getting nominated for the 2024 NIBA Broker of The Year Award by my Managing Director, Peter McLachlan. This nomination acknowledged my hard work, dedication and skills I bring to EBM and our clients, and I was awarded the 2024 WA Broker of the Year Award as a result. I have definitely found my home here at EBM and now I can watch and encourage all the upcoming brokers on their own personal development journeys.

The most rewarding part of my role, from a career and personal perspective, has been developing and maintaining strong client relationships over the years.

I’ve been with EBM since 2002 and have had the benefit of working with many long-term clients. I started out in one of our regional divisions and then had several opportunities to progress my career before landing in my current role as Executive Account Manager in the Corporate Broking team. While I believe there is no better way to learn than practical experience from day-to-day client management, EBM has always supported myself and the greater team with training and career development programs.

As a young broker, I’ve had the opportunity to complete a secondment to our Bunbury (WA) office and I got to attend the 2024 NIBA Convention in Adelaide.

I began my career at EBM in Administration which allowed me to gain valuable insight into the operational aspects of the business. When opportunity presented itself, I was able to transition into a Broking team as a Broking Assistant. This is where my fundamental understanding of broking support, and technical knowledge was fostered. During this period, EBM also supported me to achieve both my Tier 2 & Tier 1 accreditations in Broking. Now I’ve progressed into the role of Assistant Account Manager and I’m looking forward to future opportunities.
